CLP Signs Agreement of Cooperation Intent to Invest in Yangjiang Nuclear Power Station in Guangdong
CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) signs an agreement of cooperation intent with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Company (CGNPC) and Guangdong Yudean Group Co., Ltd. today to coinvest in Yangjiang Nuclear Power Station in Guangdong, China. Under the agreement, CLP will own 17% of the project. An additional partner in the project will include CGN Phase I Private Equity Fund Co., Ltd.

Sale of Anshun II Power Station in Guizhou, China
CLP, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, CLP Power China Ltd, signed an agreement with China Guodian Corporation on 13 April 2010 to sell CLP's 70% interest in the 600MW Anshun II Power Station in Guizhou, China for RMB750 million.

CLP engineers accomplished E-Base Power-On mission on Antarctica
Hong Kong, April 1, 2010 – Five young CLP engineers from Hong Kong, India and Australia have succeeded in restoring broken down renewable energy (RE) devices and installing additional solar panels for the only privately-run education and research centre (E-Base) operated in Antarctica as they return to Hong Kong and recount their experience during a "Welcome Home" gathering.

CLP engineers to restore power for E-Base on the Antarctica
(8th March Hong Kong) Five CLP engineers from Hong Kong, India and Australia have started their three-week journey to the Antarctica to install renewable energy (RE) devices for an education and research centre (E-Base) which was set up by polar explorer Sir Robert Swan and founder of organisation "2041".

CLP Holdings Limited 2009 Annual Results
Financial Highlights Earnings from our electricity business in Hong Kong decreased by 21.0% to HK$5,964 million due to the first full year impact of the lower permitted return under the new Scheme of Control. Earnings from our businesses outside Hong Kong and other earnings increased by 17.3% to HK$3,007 million. Total Group operating earnings fell by 12.4 % to HK$8,537million with total Group earnings (including one-off items) falling by 21.4% to HK$8,196 million. Consolidated revenue dropped by 6.7% to HK$50,668 million. Electricity sales in Hong Kong grew by 1.7% to 30,570 GWh; total sales (which include sales to the Chinese mainland) increased by 2.0% to 34,301 GWh. Final dividend of HK$0.92 per share; including interim dividends paid, total dividends for 2009 amount to HK$2.48 per share (2008: HK$2.48 per share).
