Power the Youth Expedition

CLP launched the “Power the Youth Expedition” exchange programme series in 2025 as a flagship initiative for national education and energy studies, supporting national initiatives to strengthen youth national education and foster regional collaboration.

CLP’s Power the Youth Expedition

Since 2025, CLP has introduced the “Power the Youth Expedition” exchange programme series, in response to national initiatives to strengthen youth national education and foster regional collaboration. This initiative adopts a tripartite collaboration model involving the government, enterprise, and schools, leveraging CLP’s expertise and resources in the energy sector to provide cross-regional, interdisciplinary learning platforms for students from Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.

The Chinese name “Power the Youth Expedition” carries a deep and profound dual meaning. It aligns with the national strategic focus on developing new quality productive forces, while symbolising a spirit of exploration — tracing the roots of Chinese civilisation while advancing low-carbon energy innovation, merging historical legacy with cutting-edge practice.

CLP is dedicated to establishing this programme as a flagship initiative for national education and energy studies. It will gradually expand to various provinces and cities on the Mainland, leveraging CLP’s renewable energy expertise to create an innovative national education and energy studies platform for Hong Kong and Mainland youngsters.

In 2026, CLP facilitated a two-way exchange between Hebei Zanhuang Middle School and Hong Kong Kiangsu-Chekiang College. The project is supported by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and the Zanhuang County Government of Hebei Province.

In March, 23 students and teachers from Hebei Zanhuang Middle School visited Hong Kong for a six-day in-depth study tour, exploring green energy technologies, cultural heritage integration, and national security. CLP also facilitated the establishment of a “sister-school” relationship between the two schools to advance curriculum collaboration, reciprocal visits, and resource sharing.

In July, 23 students and teachers from Hong Kong Kiangsu-Chekiang College made a return visit to the Mainland, travelling across Guangdong, Beijing, and Hebei. Through the exploration of low-carbon energy, cutting-edge technology, and traditional culture and history, participants deepened their understanding of new quality productive forces and cultivated a stronger sense of national identity.

CLP has also launched the “CLP Inspire” Programme to enhance the facilities at the student dormitories of Zanhuang Middle School, providing a better learning and living environment for the students.
